Wednesday with Judy

Safeguarding Critical Information

11th in the consulting series

Nov 20th, Noon Central, 60 minutes

This year's Wednesday with Judy series focuses on the communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills required to be an effective consultant.  This November is the first in a series with Edith Bell, PhD, CPT on Unlocking the Power of Information

Edith will explain the importance of combining knowledge management and enterprise content management into an integrated system.  Dr. Bell, shares her experience with helping manufacturing clients manage their growing volume of critical process and product information.  For instance, their teams waste valuable time searching for this information or reinventing content due to knowledge gaps.  Their need is to:

  • Prevent the loss of valuable content and process information.
  • Prevent slowdowns from inefficient content management.

This presentation discusses the first part of the roadmap to harnessing the full potential of an organization's intellectual assets. This includes:

  • The crucial differences between knowledge management (KM), enterprise content management (ECM), and information management (IM)
  • How to leverage KM and ECM tools to boost efficiency, quality, and innovation.
  • Practical strategies for implementing ECM and KM systems, tailored to both small and large companies
  • Real-world examples of successful (and unsuccessful) integrations to guide the manufacturer’s journey
  • Emerging trends that will shape the future of KM and ECM.

Edith will present part 2 of the series on how to implement an integrated KM/ECM system during the 2025 Technology series

Each Wednesday examines and demonstrates how communication and interpersonal communication skills can enhance our professional practice.  So, please join Judy and help create a common or universal model for performance excellence.  You will receive a zoom link upon registration.
