HOw to Analyze qualitative data

75 Minutes

Mar 24th, 1:00 PM CDT

This session is about how to code and weight qualitative data so you can apply statistical methods to analyze the data.  The methods apply to survey, interview, observation, and focus group data whether the data are recorded using rubrics, checklists, or lists.

This is the last topic in the  analytics and psychometric mini-series.  Other topics in the series are psychometric basics, how to control error, how to set standards and pass scores, how to do item analyses and measure tests equivalency, and how to analyze quantitative data.

Objectives:  You will be able to follow a set of guidelines to:

  1. Weight and code qualitative data so it can be evaluated and statistically analyzed
  2. Code qualitative data so clients can assign meaning to it and determine its relevance to their questions.
Materials:  Workbook with job aids and a QC guide

Cost:  $69, discounts are available to ISPI and Hale Center Professional Members.  Please contact Judy@HaleCenter.org if you want to find out how to arrange for an in-house program.
