How to Develop Performance-based Tests

This mini-webinar describes different types of performance-based tests and the value and limitations of each.  You will see good and bad examples and get a decision guide on how to choose the type of test best for your situation.  The tool includes rules for developing interactive items sets, performance-based tests, and portfolio-based tests.   This is one topic in the mini series on testing.  The other topics are testing basics, deciding what and how to test, multiple-choice questions, checklists, and rubrics. 

Objectives:  You will be able to: 

• Choose the best type of performance-based test required for situation
• Decide what type of scoring tool to use
• Design your performance-based test so it complies with the guidelines.
