Competence & Context

Part of the Consulting Series

November 19th at noon central time, 90-minutes

$39; Free to Mini Series Participants

Organizations invest in creating competencies and competency models to help guide hiring, development, and promotional decisions.  They spend time and energy defining the skills and knowledge required of employees, suppliers, and aftermarket partners.  However, developers of competencies rarely take into consideration how competence depends on variables in the marketplace, workplace, work, and workforce.  This webinar will give you tools and guidelines for defining competence is a way that is relevant to your situation.

You will get:

  • A checklist you can use that will increase the odds your competences are used and help guide hiring, development, and promotion decisions
  • A competency model that you and your clients can use to guide decisions on who and how many people to develop - a workable talent management strategy.
  • Examples of competencies that are and are not effect guides for hiring, development, and promotion  decisions.
